India Postal Department announces recruitment 2014 for 8243 for vacant posts
Department of Posts has invited applications for recruitment to the post of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants for the year 2013 - 2014 in 22 Postal Circles across the country through Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant Examination 2014.
The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before March 27, 2014.

Eligibility:
The candidates must have cleared 10+2 standard or 12th class from a recognized university with English as a compulsory subject (excluding vocational streams). He/she should have the knowledge of the language of the concerned region for which they are applying.
Selection procedure:
An aptitude test will be conducted for 100 marks covering subjects: General Knowledge, Mathematics, English and Analytical Skills. A computer/typing test for 30 minutes will also be held.
How to apply:
The applicants can fill online application form. On successful registration, the candidate will receive a unique registration number and password using which one can log into their account at the website to download the bank challan for submitting application fees. The aspirants have to pay the application fees through the downloaded bank challan at their nearest post office. The applicant can check his registration status 3 days later at the website.
All the documents should be retained for future reference Application fees General/OBC: Rs 400 Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Physically Impaired/ Women Candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.

Eastern Power Distribution Company of A.P Limited (APEPDCL), Visakhapatnam has posted employment notification for the recruitment of 146 (including already notified vacancies) Junior Assistant (LDC) posts. APEPDCL Vacancy Details:

Name of the Posts: Junior Assistant
1. Srikakulam: 15 Posts
2. Vizianagaram: 08 Posts
3. Visakhapatnam: 19 Posts
4. Rajahmundry: 59 Posts
5. Eluru: 45 Posts
Age Limit:
Candidates age should not below 18 years and should not above 36 years as on 01-07-2013 and who have already applied in pursuance of earlier notification shall be considered as on 01-07-2011. Age relaxation is 05 years for SC/ ST/ BC and 10 years for PH candidates.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess degree of B.A or B.Com or B.Sc of any recognized university and have passed certificate course in Computer Application/ Office Automation.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected based on performance in Written Examination.
Application Fee:
Candidates need to Pay Rs.150/- towards Application Processing Fee and Rs.350/- towards Examination Fee for General category candidates and Rs.150/- towards Application Processing Fee (No Examination Fee) for SC/ ST/ BC & PH category candidates, paid in any of A.P Online Centers and obtain Fee paid receipt with Journal Number in the first instance or pay through A.P Online portal.
How to Apply:
Eligible candidates may apply online through APEPDCL website http://www.apeasternpower.com or http://apeasternpower.cgg.gov.in from 03-03-2014 to 01-04-2014 by 07.00 PM. Retain photocopy of application form with reference ID for future use.
Instructions for Applying Online:
1. Use Mozilla Firefox Browser for applying online.
2. Before applying online, candidates must scan photograph and signature for uploading at the time of applying online.
3. Log on to the website http://apeasternpower.cgg.gov.in.
4. Click on Apply Online and fill all the mandatory details in the application form.
5. Submit error free application form.
6. Retain photocopy of application form with reference ID for future use.

Starting Date for Payment of Fee: 01-03-2014.
Starting Date for Submission of Online Applications: 03-03-2014.
Last Date for Payment of Fee at A.P Online: 01-04-2014 up to 01.00 PM.

Age Limit:
Candidates age not below 18 years and not above 35 years as on date of notification i.e 16-02-2014. Age relaxation will be applicable as per the rules.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must be able to Read and Write.
Application Fee:
Candidates have to pay the fee of Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only) in the form of demand draft drawn on any schedules bank in favour of the Accounts Officer/ Pay Officer of the concerned Circle to which the post is applying for. SC / ST / BC candidates are exempted.
How to Apply:
Eligible candidates can send their applications in the prescribed format along with required fee and attested copies of date of birth certificate, study certificate, proof of residence, two latest passport size photographs and one self addressed envelope 11X5 inch affixing the requisite postal stamps, etc., enclosed in an envelope super scribed with ” Application for the post of Watchman” should reach to the concerned Circle Superintending Engineer as mentioned in notification on or before 15-03-2014 at 05:00 PM.
Last Date for Submission of Applications: 15-03-2014 at 05:00 PM.
