Department of Posts has invited applications for recruitment to the post of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants for the year 2013 - 2014 in 22 Postal Circles across the country through Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant Examination 2014.
The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before March 27, 2014.

Eligibility:
The candidates must have cleared 10+2 standard or 12th class from a recognized university with English as a compulsory subject (excluding vocational streams). He/she should have the knowledge of the language of the concerned region for which they are applying.
Selection procedure:
An aptitude test will be conducted for 100 marks covering subjects: General Knowledge, Mathematics, English and Analytical Skills. A computer/typing test for 30 minutes will also be held.
How to apply:
The applicants can fill online application form. On successful registration, the candidate will receive a unique registration number and password using which one can log into their account at the website to download the bank challan for submitting application fees. The aspirants have to pay the application fees through the downloaded bank challan at their nearest post office. The applicant can check his registration status 3 days later at the website.
